Anthony Noto, CFA is the founder of Noto Financial Planning. He began his career in finance working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from 1999 to 2001. It was an exciting place to work, and also a great time to see first-hand how emotions can affect investment performance. Anthony went on to work with some of the top mutual funds and hedge funds in the United States as a trader for SunGard Institutional Brokerage, based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Wanting to see and experience China's world changing development first-hand, Anthony and his wife moved to China in 2005. They have enjoyed the experience, along with the challenges and opportunities of life as expatriates. In Hong Kong, Anthony traded Southeast Asian equities for Franklin Templeton. With a passion for investing and the desire to have a positive impact on people's lives, Anthony became a financial planner. 

In Shanghai, Anthony joined one of the financial advisory companies catering to expatriates. Quickly seeing the need for professional financial advice without a sales agenda, he realized the time was right to establish Noto Financial Planning and bring fee-only financial planning to China.
